The event
Bulgaria's first Eurovision, on the coast
Burgas will host the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time in May 2027, after Bulgaria's debut win with Dara's "Bangaranga". The semi-finals and grand final take place at Arena Burgas — with tens of thousands of fans, delegations and press expected in the region that week.
If you'd rather skip the city hotel crush, Gradina beach near Sozopol is a quiet, beachfront alternative about 35–45 minutes' drive away — close enough for the shows, far enough for a proper night's sleep by the sea.
